| "Help!
I think I have fleas! What do I do?" |
| Start
by putting on a pair of white socks and walking around
the house. If you do have fleas, they will jump on to
the socks and be easy to see.. |
| |
| "But
I don't have any pets" (or) "But my animals
are inside pets, how could this happen?!" |
|
Fleas
can hitch a ride into your home on your clothing and
shoes where they will attach to your pet for a "bite"
to eat!
Emerick
Pest Control can help you if you do have a flea problem.
Our treatment is reasonably-priced and comes with a
30-day guarantee of satisfaction.
|
| |
| "How
can I make the most of my pest control treatment so I
don't have to be retreated?" |
| You
can start by moving smaller, lightweight items such as
plants, baskets, chairs away from your walls. This will
allow us to get a good perimeter barrier applied to help
take care of what bugs you. Also, if you are planning
on remodeling, putting in new floor covering, painting
or pressure washing, schedule your treatment after
these improvements so the barrier we put down is not
disturbed or removed. |
| |
| "I
am on the quarterly plan and I'm not really seeing any
bugs. Should I stretch my treatments out, or maybe I just
don't need them any more?" |
| Great
news! Our treatments are working for you! With continued
regular applications every 3 months, you shouldn't be
"bugged"! |
| |
| Got
a mouse in your house? |
|
Knowing
that it only takes 1/4 of an inch for a mouse to enter
a structure will help you! Caulk or fill these openings
with steel wool (mice hate it!) to prevent mice from
"moving in"!
A
surefire way to trap them? Try a little peanut butter
on some bread on your mouse trap. Also position your
trap perpendicular to the wall, with the bait side nearest
the wall. Gets 'em every time!

| What
about snakes? |
|
Emerick
Pest Control doesn't take care of snakes; however, moth
balls around your home will help deter them!

| Some
Things Interesting to Know |
- "Cicada-Killer
Wasps" dig a burrow in the ground and lay an
egg. They hunt for a cicada or other insect and place
it in the burrow on top of the egg. The bug that was
placed in the burrow now becomes a food source when
the egg hatches in the spring. The wasp does not return
to that burrow after the process is complete. Even
though they are usually large, the Cicada Killer Wasp
does not usually bother people, but do have a painful
sting if agitated.
- Pound
for pound, the weight of all the termites in the world
is greater that the total weight of humans.
- The
common German Cockroach can survive for over a month
without food, but less than two weeks without water.

average housefly has a life span of one month.
